- The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the CBSE Class 12 board exam dates, 12th time table, and CBSE exam format on June 1. As soon as Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' announces the dates, students will be able to check the CBSE 12th board exam dates at the official website— cbse.nic.in. The CBSE is expected to conduct the 12th exams 2021 between July 15 and August 26. CBSE Class 12 result is expected to be released in September. The major entrance exams for undergraduate engineering course (JEE Main) and medicine (NEET UG 2021) will not be cancelled. The JEE Main 2021 exam date and NEET application form 2021 will be released on the official site of NTA. While, ABVP has written to Ramesh Pokhriyal to consider novel modes of conducting Class 12 board exams, including open book mode and remote examinations using registered posts, the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) has opposed the Central Government’s decision to conduct the Class 12th board exams amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
- As per the latest developments, the proposal of conducting the Examinations in Two Phases from 15th July to 26th August 2021 has been put up. Along with it suggestions of changing the examination in a short duration pattern of 1.5 hours was also made, CBSE is also considering conducting examinations only for the main subjects and cancelling the examinations of the elective subjects.
- Maharashtra SSC exams have been cancelled due to the worsening COVID situation in the state. State education minister Varsha Gaikwad has said that the state will evaluate SSC students based on 'objective criteria'. The assessment criteria for Maharashtra SSC exams are yet to be released by the board.
- MP Board will announce a decision on whether to conduct the Class 12th MP Board exams in June first week. The Class 12th exams originally slated to be held from May 1 were postponed considering the spike in COVID-19 cases in the second wave of coronavirus.
- The Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER) is yet to take a decision on Class 10 and Class 12 board exams. Exams for these students were postponed earlier, in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. The government is yet to take a final decision on whether the RBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exams will either be cancelled or postponed further. Once it's been decided to hold the exams, RBSE Board exam date 2021 Class 12 will be released on the official website of the Board.
- Manish Sisodia's Government Not In Favour Of Class 12 Board Exams:
“Without vaccinating the students and making them appear for board examination will be a big mistake”, Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia has said.
Manish Sisodia,Deputy Chief Minister, also held interactions with school principals, teachers and students on Saturday to deliberate on options that can be explored by the central government to arrive at a decision regarding pending Class 12 board exams.
- UP Board Exam Date 2021 for Class 12 has not been decided yet. Earlier the Board said that the talks underway and a decision on UP Board 12th board exam will be taken soon.
- As per the media reports, PSEB Board Exam 2021 Class 12 are likely to be held in June only for three major subjects. The state education minister has that the appropriate arrangements will be made for the safety of students.
The Punjab School Education Minister, Vijay Inder Singla, said that the Union government should ensure the safety of students before taking a decision on Class 12 board exam 2021.
"Punjab Govt is committed to ensuring the safety of students & teachers in these pandemic times. Put forth my views on the Centre prioritising safety & considering taking exams for only 3 elective subjects for class XII, during a virtual meeting with Union Ministers," the minister tweeted.
- Karnataka State Board Exam 2021 Class 12
Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister Suresh Kumar on Sunday said it was necessary to hold the second year Pre-University exams, or Karnataka State board exam 2021 Class 12, in the interest of students' future.
- GSEB Class 12 Board Exam 2021
The Gujarat Board has postponed GSEB Class 12 Board exams again and said that it be held at an appropriate time once the COVID-19 situation improves in the state."The exams however will be conducted once the Covid situation is under control," Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani GSEB Class 12 board exams were scheduled to be held between May 10 to 25.
- Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said holding the Class 12 board exams would not be appropriate in the wake of the COVID-19 situation. "If the suggestions received from the stakeholders are considered, there is a consensus on postponement of the examination... People feel that maintaining social distance will not be possible if the exams are conducted and children can get infected..." Mr Soren said after participating in a meeting convened by the Centre on the Class 12 board exams.
- Goa Board's Class 10 Exams Cancelled, Decision On Class 12 Exams In 2 Days. The Goa Government has cancelled the Class 10 exams in the state in view of the COVID-19 outbreak and a decision on Class 12 exams would be taken in the next two days, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said on Sunday.
- Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, CGBSE, has decided to conduct the CGBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021 from home. The order said students of Class 12 will be given five days from 1 to 5 June to collect the question papers and blank answer sheets from the specified centres. The students have to submit all the answer sheets latest by 6th June. If the students fail to submit any of the answer sheets by 6th June then the student will be considered as absent for that particular examination.
